Council is inviting community feedback on the Draft Code of Meeting Practice. The public exhibition period runs from Wednesday 25 May to Tuesday 5 July 2022.

The Code is based on the Model Code of Meeting Practice prescribed under section 360 of the Local Government Act 1993. It outlines the rules for running council and committee meetings to ensure meetings are transparent, effective and orderly.

If you have something to say about any aspect of the draft code, we encourage you to make a submission. All submissions must be in writing and must be received by 5 July 2022. Please include in the subject line “Submission – Code of Meeting Practice”.
