Burwood Council, at its meeting on 26 September 2023, resolved to place on exhibition a proposed amendment to Council’s Fees and Charges 2023-2024.
The proposed amendments will affect fees and charges applied to road, footpath and storm water drainage construction, as well as, traffic control fees which can be found between pages 58 & 62, as well as page 71 of Council’s Fees and Charges 2023-2024. This document is available for download on Council’s website. It is proposed to increase these fees and charges by 20% to match recent increases in construction industry costs.
Council offers the service of constructing public domain works on behalf of developers to ensure the community receives high quality infrastructure. It also ensures the community receives consistent public domain works across the local government area. To keep providing a quality product, it is imperative that Council be able to cover the cost of undertaking these works.
The amendments to Council’s Fees and Charges 2023-2024 are on exhibition from 12 October to 9 November 2023. A copy of relevant Council report and resolution are available to be viewed in the Document Library.
