Burwood Council commenced the Park Expansion Project in September 2024.

The project involved demolition of three Council-owned, ageing properties located on 4 and 6 Portland Street, Enfield, and 33 Russell Street, Strathfield that would have required repairs and maintenance at significant cost.

We're pleased that removal of the dilapidated properties has created an additional 1,450m2 of green open space for the community to use with new trees and landscaping features.
