Consultation

Council is inviting community feedback on the Draft Youth Action Plan 2024-2027.

The Draft Youth Action Plan 2024 - 2027 focuses on young people aged 12 to 24 years who live, visit, learn and work in the Burwood Local Government Area (LGA). The Plan has been co-created by young people.

From April to July this year Council conducted a series of engagement activities with young people to find out what they like in Burwood, what they would like to see more of and what they feel are the biggest challenges for their future.

What we heard gave us an insight into young people's priorities and the key areas we should focus on:

- Health and Wellbeing

- Information, connection and support

- Places and spaces

- Pathways to employment.

This draft Plan outlines actions for Council to undertake, working together with families, schools, services, young people and other partners, to deliver on these priorities over the next four years.

The Exhibition of this draft Plan provides an opportunity for the community and other key stakeholders to review and provide their feedback.

The Draft Youth Action Plan is on public exhibition from 29 November 2023 until 25 February 2024.
