Burwood Council, at its meeting on 22 August 2023, resolved to place on exhibition a proposed amendment to the Burwood Development Control Plan (DCP).
The proposed amendment applies to Section 3.3.2 of the Burwood DCP and includes changes to the front setback requirements for Nos 121-125 & 168 Burwood Road, Burwood.
The proposed amendment to increase the street front setback requirements from 0m to 8m for Nos 121-125 Burwood Road (current Burwood Hotel) and 168 Burwood Road (current Westpac Bank) will assist in opening up the heritage view towards the former Burwood Post Office and facilitating a large enough building setback to establish a public plaza fronting Burwood Road.
The amendments to Section 3.3.2 are on exhibition from 13 September to 13 October 2023. A copy of relevant Council report and resolution are available to be viewed in the Document Library.
