Safer Burwood Strategy

At the Council Meeting on Tuesday 12 December 2023, the Safer Burwood Strategy 2023 - 2027 was adopted.

Thank you to all of the community members and stakeholders who informed and commented on the Strategy during the consultation and throughout the public exhibition period.

Consultation

Council is inviting community feedback on the Draft Safer Burwood Strategy 2023-2027.

Community safety plays an important role in helping Council to achieve our vision for a Burwood that is a welcoming and inclusive community with safe, vibrant and livable places.

The Draft Safer Burwood Strategy responds to local crime and community priorities and provides a roadmap for delivering a safer Burwood for our community. It outlines the actions Council will take, working with Police, other partners and our community, to address priority crime issues and improve safety, security and wellbeing of those who live, work and visit the Burwood Local Government Area. This Strategy has been informed by extensive community and stakeholder consultation, research and analysis of local crime data.
