Burwood Council invites performers, cultural groups, artists, and creatives to showcase their talents at the Burwood Lunar New Year event on January 31st.
This event will transform
Burwood Road and Clarendon Place near Burwood Chinatown with a partial road closure, celebrating the rich
heritage and traditions of our diverse community, especially those of Asian
heritage who celebrate Lunar New Year.
We welcome both traditional and contemporary expressions, inviting roving entertainers, performance artists, musicians, dance and drumming troupes to apply. Additionally, we seek creatives to design engaging, low-tech community workshops and performances.
Council will be assessing applications on a rolling basis from 23 July through to 19 August 2024 and will contact suitable candidates ongoingly throughout and after the application period.
