Background
Burwood Road and Deane Street will be reimagined as a vibrant, welcoming, and walkable destinations where people don’t just pass through, but pause, connect, dine, and stay; ensuring the local economy thrives day and night.
Funded by the NSW Government’s Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants Program in partnership with Council, this project aims to deliver:
- Expanded footpaths, additional public seating and outdoor dining areas.
- Improved lighting and projections and smart parking technology
- Additional planter boxes, street trees and public art
To bring the vision to life, Council has developed a series of creative concept renders. These images are designed to spark imagination but are illustrative only. The final design will be shaped by the ideas and feedback we receive.
Have your say
Your input will help bring this vision to life. Between 23 September and 21 October, join us at one of our pop-up engagement sessions, or complete our online survey below and help us shape the future of Burwood.
Come and join Council staff at one of these stalls where you can ask questions about the project and share your input in-person.
*Please note, we may need to postpone a pop-up stall due to poor weather as most will be held outdoors. Please return to this page on the day of the pop-up to ensure it is still going ahead.
