Burwood Council is inviting community feedback on planned upgrades to existing facilities and build a new inclusive playground in Burwood Park.

The project will update existing public furniture and equipment, and contribute to significant social benefits through the development of a new inclusive play space where people of all abilities can meet, play, and have fun.

Project updates and builds include:

  • Inclusive playground
  • Picnic facilities
  • Accessible toilet
  • Wayfinding signs
  • Shade and paving over outdoor chessboard
  • Accessible BBQs.

Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants Program

The Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants Program (formerly WestInvest) is funding transformational infrastructure projects to improve liveability across Western Sydney.

A total of $2 billion has been awarded to projects across 15 eligible Local Government Areas in Western Sydney. Funding recipients are local councils, non-government organisations, charitable organisations and community groups.

Key areas of focus for the funding include quality green and open spaces, community infrastructure, school modernisation, arts and cultural facilities, high street activation and local traffic programs.
