Burwood Council, at its meeting on 24 October 2023, endorsed an amendment to Section 4.7 of the Burwood Development Control Plan (DCP) in relation to subdivision of land that contains a heritage item or for properties within a Heritage Conservation Area (HCA).
The amendments to Section 4.7 of the Burwood DCP include robust objectives and provisions and aims to ensure greater protection of existing subdivision patterns, protect the curtilage and settings of heritage properties and ensure appropriate outcomes are delivered where subdivision is supported.

Date of Commencement
The amendments to Section 4.7 of the BDCP relating to heritage subdivision comes into effect on 27 October 2023.
